Delete your Playtopus account
This page explains how to delete your Playtopus account, operated by Playtopus Ltd, and what happens to your data.
How to delete your account in the app
1. Open the Playtopus app and sign in. 2. Go to the Me tab (Profile if you are in organiser mode), then tap the settings icon. 3. Select Delete account. 4. Confirm when prompted. Your account and associated data will be deleted.
Prefer to request it by email?
If you can't access the app, you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at hello@playtopus.co.uk from the email address linked to your account. We will action your request without undue delay.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we delete the personal data associated with it, including: • your name, email address and profile details; • your profile photo and any images you have uploaded; • your messages, reviews and other user-generated content; • your tournament entries, results and sporting activity.
What may be kept, and for how long
We may retain a limited amount of data where we are required or permitted to by law. This includes records of transactions and entry-fee payments, which we keep for accounting, tax and legal-compliance purposes for as long as required by law (typically up to 6 years). Payment card details are handled by our payment provider, Stripe, and are not stored by us. Deleted data may also persist on secure backup or archival media for a limited period before being overwritten.
